Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive to Guatemala – Antigua Guatemala
Meeting upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. (1hr) the country’s original capital, declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in 1979.

Today you will take a half day tour at Choco Museo, you will be able to learn about cacao and chocolate, like the production process or the history of cacao since the Maya, 1000 years ago. You can even sign up for a workshop, and make your own chocolate, right from the cacao beans! If you want to go even deeper in your knowledge, you’ll be offered to visit real cacao plantation, where you’ll meet farmers and share their passion. (3-4hrs). Free time afternoon.

Morning transfer to Panajachel 2.5hrs then take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan to the village of Santiago where you’ll be visiting the Maya god Maximon and learn about the spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya. Also visit San Juan La Laguna, a village famous for its attractive murals on every side of the streets.

In the natural reserve of Atitlan, we will zipline and explore the temperate forest, its butterfly farm and small bridges and waterfall.

In the morning transfer to Guatemala City on the route visit Comalapa. Fly to Flores, then transfer to hotel.

Ready for more adventures, today we do 3 activities, kayak in the lake with incredible views of Flores Island, hike to the viewpoint, and visit Arcas, an animal rescue center where we will see the jaguar.
