This
isolated Mayan-mam community it is located in the summit
of the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes, to 45 kilometers of
Huehuetenango. The inhabitants rich coloring suite is
very outstanding, as well as the traditional activities
yearly carried out during their fair, Nov. 1. in, in honor
to the saints and the deceaseds which is very colorful
and gives a start to a ceremony in the cemetery, In which,
the old men and brothers plot to the souls of the deceaseds.

31, the residents give serenade to their dear deceased loved ones
and offer them foods and flowers. That same night the horsemen
get ready for the "Skach Koyl" (wild horses race), dancing
and drinking liquor. The competition is carried out November 1;
many horsemen stagger and some fall of the horse. The party continues
with music and the (Danza de la Conquista) Conquest Dance. November
2, day the dead, they say goodbye to their ancestors.
